YAAS!

I love working in early literacy, but the teens truly have my heart. This program is my absolute baby and I spend most of my waking hours thinking about it, whether I'm on the clock or not. It offers different activities each week for youth ages 14+. Focusing on arts and crafts, community service and engagement, hearing from guest speakers, and nationally recognized holidays like Women's History Month and National Poetry Day, my aim for this program is to inspire the young people in our city to get excited about helping out the library (kind of like a Teen Advisory Board) and our community!
