A pretty cool website where you can get patterns or kits to help you create the best #FlannelFriday ever.

My friend and coworker Sara runs this blog all about storytime! I know firsthand that she has her storytime formulas down to a science and is great at commanding a room. Added bonus, her writing style is fun to read. I love this blog and can't wait for her to add more to it!

This blog is written and maintained by a friend of mine from library school! We still have never met in person, but we are very similar in a lot of ways and became great friends remotely while working on a partner project. She got her job as a children's librarian in North Carolina shortly before I got mine, so we have stayed in touch and like to swap stories about youth services and working with the public. Her blog provides a great mix of storytime lesson plans, book and music reviews, and a list of satisfyingly yellow things. She also includes some adorable candid photos of herself conducting storytime, which are not to be missed.

I mention them in a lot of storytime posts, because they have the best videos around. I have pretty much learned how to be a great youth services librarian by watching these two kill it. I can't say enough great things about them, so click the link and check out their amazing blog!

The team that ran Library Village isn't working or writing together anymore, but this site still has a lot of fantastic storytime ideas. I especially like how easy it is to search for a specific theme. My rainbow storytime wass partially due to these ladies!

Sarah is on my team here in Mesa! She runs an early literacy blog with fantastic tips and book lists, and a Facebook page called Feminist Librarian. She's basically all over the internet doing wonderful things for intellectual freedom, diversity, and inclusion.

I like Katie's blog because she has a long list of storytime themes, and each entry is extremely well-organized. The whole blog is upbeat, colorful, and easy to navigate. Her blog is also where I learned about Flannel Friday, something I hope to incorporate into this blog very soon!

This blog is maintained by a former children's librarian, current stay-at-home mom who has some great programming ideas! I especially like the "storytime anytime" program and all the great craft projects.
